Crashes and hangs all the time on Nexus 4/Android 4.4.2

Application seems to be crashing and hanging every time I try to use it.
Somehow I managed to get gps.conf written for the first time, but now when I try to use any from additional settings, I get app crash.

Typical scenario:

1. run FasterGPS
2. open Additional settings
3. click on INTERMADIATE_POS, enter value, press OK
4. a message saying that root permissions been granted appears, then UI hangs deadly for about 20-40 seconds, then a system message saying that application doesn't respond Appears.
