ctrk.klclick.com being erroneously flagged

Hello Team,

My name is Chirag. I am with Klaviyo, a US based ESP and we believe that MailScanner may be flagging our tracking link, ctrk.klclick.com, as a false positive.

We don't see the domain being tracked over at https://phishtank.org/ either:

Nothing known about ctrk.klclick.com

Could we have this flag removed?

If you are not listed in Phishtank, then MailScanner is not flagging your link as a potential phishing domain in the bad sender list, which is sourced from Phishtank entries.

What is most likely happening is that your link is being used in place of the domain your are tracking to, like this:

<a href="https://ctrk.klclick.com/...">https://www.example.com</a>

and the MailScanner admin has enabled the phishing fraud detection settings that flag URLs that differ from what is being displayed. As in the case here, the domain www.example.com is not what the link refers to, therefore it is flagged to alert the user.

It is therefore up to whomever is using MailScanner that you are sending email to, to change these settings or make an exception.
