Merge branch 'maintenance/npm-dependency-updates' into develop

Updated to jQuery 3.5.0. Automatic fixes of most new security vulnerabilities identified by `npm audit`.

Note that there  remain three identified security vulnerabilities, but they only affect code used by Gulp as part of our build process, and don't actually impact the packaged product. We'll monitor those dependencies for updates in future releases.
