Describe the bug
Unable to change S/D to D/DD or vice versa while offline.

To Reproduce
Are you able to reproduce the problem in a new project after restarting the app?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Either in offline environment or airplane mode (originally noted during Santa Catalina trip)
2. Go to User Conventions
3. Click on Conventions
4. Unable to select drop down menu, click and nothing happens.

Expected behavior
Ability to update conventions regardless of connectivity.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

This is operating correctly according to the current design. When a user changes the convention that change is pushed up to the server immediately, thus it won't work offline - just like you cannot edit the profile name or profile image when offline either. If this needs to be changed we will need to think of a different implementation.

While connected, I am getting an error message every time I close the menu. 95% of the time it's "Error Saving Profile", other 5% it's "Successfully Saved Locally." (100.0.0 (1001))

Does the display D/DD or conversion process need connectivity? Or just the user convention saving portion?

There was a bug introduced with some macrostrat stuff that was preventing the saving of the user profile (including user conventions) that has been fixed with c127081 and another bug that was fixed with 32160d3. These fixes will be in 2.28.2.

These fixes don't have anything do with saving the profile when offline or running the conversions when offline. I'll need to look at that at some point.
