CalDav returns calendar

App version

• I'm using the latest available DAVx⁵ version.

Android version and device/firmware type

Android 16 on GraoheneOS

Steps to reproduce

1. Add a CalDAV calendar to DAVx5. Immediately you see a tab CalDAV with your calendars and an empty tab labelled CardDAV within DAVx5
2. Go to your contacts app and add a new contact or edit an existing one (not all apps can do the latter).
3. You can choose the CalDAV account as a storage space

Actual result

DAVx5 behaves as if the calendar would be a CardDAV account. Contacts added this way are available on the mobile but I do not see them on the server. I would not know where to search for contacts in a calendar.

Expected result

After adding a CalDAV account I expect DAVx5 to identify it as a calendar and not present it to calendar apps to store contacts.

Tested with Fossify Contacts 1.3.0

It works the other way round too. If you ad a CardDAV account there will be an empty tab called CalDAV. But I did not find any negative implications of this.

Hi, which server provider are you using? I can't reproduce the issue (though I don't have a GrapheneOS device available right now). This really looks like an issue with your server, which may be misinforming DAVx⁵ about CardDAV compatibility on a CalDAV collection (or the other way around).
