ClojureStream Community Code of Conduct

1. Purpose

This community is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and the consequences for unacceptable conduct.

2. Expected Behavior

All participants in project-related spaces, including online forums, social media, conferences, meetups, and any other interactions, are expected to:

  • Be respectful and considerate in all communications.
  • Assume good intent and seek to resolve misunderstandings constructively.
  • Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Provide constructive feedback and engage in discussions with kindness.
  • Share knowledge generously while being mindful of others' learning journeys.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within this community:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or offensive comments related to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, nationality, or any other protected status.
  • Personal attacks, insults, or threats.
  • Trolling, disruptive behavior, or sustained interruptions in discussions.
  • Unwanted sexual attention or inappropriate conduct.
  • Publishing private information of others without consent.
  • Engaging in any conduct that violates local laws or the terms of a specific community platform.

4. Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you are encouraged to report it by:

Reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. The community moderators or organizers will review reports and take appropriate action.

5. Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in actions including but not limited to:

  • A private or public warning.
  • Temporary or permanent suspension from online platforms or events.
  • Removal from the project community spaces.
  • Other actions deemed appropriate to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

6. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all project-related spaces, whether online or offline, and to anyone participating in them.

7. Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant and the Clojure Community Etiquette.


By participating in this community, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and thriving environment for all members.
