Linker error: cannot open file 'synth.def'

During compile there is a linker error:
cannot open file 'synth.def'

From project settings:

ModuleDefinitionFile="synth.def"

I have no idea where is can be found

I have not worked in this repo for some time now.. but I am guessing this has to do with some newer version of windows and support for direct show.
