The numbers are actually how absolute coordinates get reported to the OS, but this wasn't supposed to be entered manually unless one really really want to - there is a keyboard shortcut that enables you to position the mouse where the other monitor "begins", so you just park the cursor there and press that shortcut and that's all the calibration you need. |

I have MacBook A sitting to the left of and quite below the monitor of MacBook B. The area of overlap between them is quite small, but I still like the mouse to transition from one to the other in the same place.
The bottom of the right monitor lines up about 3-4 inches below the top of the left MacBook screen.
The docs and config UI don't really explain the meaning of the "top/bottom border" configs.
It took me a few minutes to wrap my head around it.
You think of the top/bottom borders in absolute terms. So for me the top border on the left screen is 0: the top of the screen. The bottom border is a little below the top, i liked it at 5000.
The top border for the right monitor is quite low, at 29750. And the bottom is the maximum, 32767.
I hope this helps anyone with similar questions!
