There is a issue that I found on target, kinda annoying and hard for user to know what happened. here the steps.
- To make a body from scratch
- Add rig
- Create a target, it normally create a shapekey "PrimaryTarget" on shapekeys list, it is selected.
- I start to modifying it, everything looks ok, if I save it will be saved.
- I add a asset, can be hair, clothes, or change the phenotype in Model tab, in this moment the selection on shapekeys change it, it is not "PrimaryTarget" selected anymore, what means, I'm not in fact doing modifications on Target/PrimaryTarget, but I not even notice that. I save the target, it will be partly saved, because it will only save the target before I add asset or change the model tab.
Usually, I lock all other shapekeys, so If I add some asset, of for some reason it change the selection in shapekeys and I try to edit, it show a warning lock, so I go on that list and select "PrimaryTarget" again...BUT, if I change it on model tab, like phonotype, it automatically unlock those shapekeys, because those shapekeys is related to phonotype, so it is unlocked automatically when I change it on model tab.
I dont know how it should be, personally do not make sense for me to be able to change the model tab when editing target, for me you can block the user to change it while messing with target, it will avoid Issues and conflicts in shapekeys list.
About adding assets while editing target can be interesting in fact, to test hair, or something, but it should not change the selection on shapekeys list, it must be always "PrimaryTarget" selected. if it is not possible, just block the user to add assets while editing target too, at least it is more safe.
