PR made without the UI is not linked to the existing branch #8643

Description

Related to #4509 and #4120

When I make a PR using the vscode ui, I am able to address see and "apply changes" from comments left on code sections. However, if I make a PR on the github website, my local branch is not recognized, and I would have to recheck out the branch to be able to apply changes.

  • Extension version: 0.134.0
  • VSCode Version: 1.110.1
  • OS: Linux x64 6.19.6-arch1-1
  • Repository Clone Configuration (single repository/fork of an upstream repository): https://github.com/Goldenlion5648/godot
  • GitHub Product (GitHub.com/GitHub Enterprise version x.x.x): Github.com

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Make a PR on the github website, instead of the below VSCode UI
Image
  1. Now the PR only shows up in "created by me" rather than local pull request branches

  1. Now I would have to checkout separately

  1. If I don't checkout (and try to use my local copy), I can't just apply suggestions

Clicking the ProjectSettings.xml file shows this, but I can't apply changes:

  1. If I instead just open my local copy, I can't view comments
