+
+Goodnight moon in the velvet sky,
+Goodnight clouds that softly drift by,
+Goodnight stars that shimmer and gleam,
+Goodnight world on the edge of a dream.
+
+Goodnight owls in the old oak tree,
+Goodnight wind that hums quietly,
+Goodnight cricket with your gentle song,
+Goodnight shadows, stretching long.
+
+Goodnight fireflies, fading slow,
+Goodnight river with your silver glow,
+Goodnight meadow wrapped in dew,
+Goodnight moon — I whisper to you.
+
+Goodnight blanket, warm and deep,
+Goodnight eyelids, close to sleep,
+The moon keeps watch through the quiet night,
+And holds us all in her pale, soft light.
