This application provides a daily updated list of free proxies. It includes HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies that are checked automatically. This list can help users who need proxies for browsing anonymously or for tasks like web scraping and crawling. The proxy list is refreshed and verified without any server cost, making it free and reliable.

This guide will help you download and run the proxy list application on Windows.

On the releases page, find the latest release version. Look for a file named something like
awesome-free-proxy-list.ziporawesome-free-proxy-list.exe. -
If you download a
.zipfile:- Right-click on the file and choose “Extract All”.
- Pick a folder you can easily find, such as your Desktop or Documents.
- Open the extracted folder to see the program files.

If you download an
.exefile:- Double-click the file to run it.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to finish the setup.

If you extracted the files, look for a file named
awesome-free-proxy-list.exeor similar. Double-click it to start. -
The app will start updating the proxy list automatically. You will see a simple window showing the list of available proxies.

To use the proxies, copy them from the list. They are shown in this format:
ip_address:port (type)Example:
192.168.1.100:8080 (HTTP) -
You can paste these proxies into your web browser or any program that supports proxy settings.
- The list has four types of proxies: HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5.
- It updates daily by checking published free proxy servers from various sources.
- Each proxy is automatically tested for connectivity and speed.
- Proxies that do not respond or are slow are removed from the list immediately.
- This automatic filtering ensures that you get only working and fast proxy addresses.
Most modern browsers let you set a proxy address:
- Go to your browser settings.
- Find Network or Proxy settings.
- Enter the proxy from the app in the format
ip_address:port. - Choose the correct proxy type if your browser asks (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS).
If you use automation tools:
- Copy a proxy address from the app.
- Use it in your program’s proxy configuration.
- Rotate proxies regularly to avoid being blocked.
The proxy list supports common use cases for Python web scraping and crawling tools.
Each time you open the app, it refreshes the list to give you the latest working proxies. You do not have to do anything extra.
If you want to manually update:
- Close the application.
- Reopen it by double-clicking the program file again.
This will trigger the download and test of new proxies.
- App doesn’t open:
Make sure your Windows is updated and you have enough disk space. - Proxy list is empty:
The app checks the sources online. Confirm your Internet connection is working. - Proxies not working in browser:
Double-check you set the right proxy type (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 or SOCKS5). Some websites block free proxies. Try another proxy from the list. - Slow connection through proxy:
Use a different proxy from the list. Free proxies vary in speed and reliability.
