This tool is built for anyone interested in financial markets but without programming skills. It uses large language models (LLM) to simulate expert traders focused on different parts of the market.
Before you begin, make sure your computer meets these conditions:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or higher, macOS 10.15 or higher, or Linux (Ubuntu 18.04+ recommended)
- Processor: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or faster
- RAM: At least 8 GB memory
- Storage: Minimum 500 MB free space
- Internet connection required for LLM updates and data feeds
- Python 3.9 or higher (The download includes an installer that sets this up for you if needed)

- Once downloaded, open the file to launch the installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Accept license terms.
- Choose install location or leave default.
- The installer will also check if Python 3.9+ is installed. If not, it offers to install it automatically.
- Finish installation and close the installer.

After installing, start the program from your desktop icon or start menu.
- When you open trading-agents, the setup wizard guides you through configuring your preferences.
- Choose default trading markets: stocks, forex, crypto, or commodities.
- Set risk levels and trading limits.
- Connect to your trading platform if you want automatic order execution. This is optional.
- Once setup completes, the AI agents start analyzing market data live.
- Dashboard: Shows current agent recommendations and market status.
- Agents Tab: Review detailed analysis by each AI agent.
- Reports Tab: Receive daily summaries and alerts.
- Settings: Change preference or update the AI models.
To keep trading-agents running smoothly, check for updates regularly.
- Open the app and go to Settings > Updates.
- Click "Check for Updates" to see if a new version is available.
- Follow prompts to download and install updates.
You can also visit the Releases page to manually download new versions.
If you face any issues:
- Make sure your internet is working.
- Restart the application.
- Confirm your OS and specs meet the minimum system requirements.
- Check firewall settings to allow the app internet access.
- Look at the log files in the installation folder for error details.
