Error:

Checking :benchmark::Couldn't parse the pom file: ./java-bigquery/benchmark/pom.xml

From #12081

Benchmark is not added to the bigquery modules and should not be published to Maven Central. The check just finds all the pom.xml files in the repo and tries to ensure that they don't exist in Maven.

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses a critical CI failure by correctly configuring the Maven Project Object Model (POM) for the BigQuery benchmark module. By introducing the necessary groupId and version elements, it ensures that the pom.xml file can be properly parsed, thereby resolving build errors and allowing CI processes to proceed as expected.

Highlights

  • CI Fix: Resolved a CI error where the pom.xml for the bigquery benchmark module could not be parsed by adding the missing groupId and version elements.

Code Review

This pull request adds the groupId and version to the benchmark module's pom.xml. This change is intended to fix a CI parsing error by making the Maven coordinates explicit. The change is correct and aligns with standard practices for resolving such tooling issues.
