To run MCPGateway, your computer should have:
- Windows 10 or later (64-bit recommended)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 500 MB free disk space for installation
- Internet connection for downloading and using AI tools
- .NET 6.0 Runtime or later installed (MCPGateway will prompt if missing)

Once on the GitHub page, look for the Releases section. This is where the ready-to-run files are stored.
- Find the latest version labeled by date or version number.
- Look for a file ending with
.exe– this is the installer or app file you will run.
Click the .exe file to start downloading. Save it to a folder you can easily access, like your Desktop or Downloads folder.
- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile. - If Windows asks for permission, click Yes to allow the app to run.
- Follow the simple prompts by clicking Next until installation completes.
- The installer places MCPGateway on your computer ready to use.
- Find MCPGateway in your Start menu or on your Desktop.
- Click the icon to open the app.
- The first time you run it, the app may connect to the internet to update or check for required tools. Allow it to do so.
The main window has a search box. Type keywords related to what you want, such as "language model" or "image recognition." MCPGateway shows matching AI tools and models instantly.
Click on any tool in the results to see more information. This includes what the tool does, requirements, and instructions on how to use it.
Many tools can run directly inside MCPGateway. Select a tool and follow the on-screen steps to start it. Input fields or options will guide you.
