Welcome to the HR Analytics Dashboard repository!
This project showcases an interactive Tableau dashboard designed to help HR managers gain insights into workforce metrics, demographics, and salary analysis. The dashboard provides both high-level summaries and detailed employee records for informed decision-making.
User Story:
As an HR manager, I want a comprehensive dashboard to analyze human resources data, providing both summary views for quick insights and detailed records for in-depth analysis.
The dashboard consists of two primary views:
- Summary View β High-level HR insights categorized into Overview, Demographics, and Income Analysis.
- Employee Records View β Detailed, filterable employee dataset for specific analysis.
- Display total number of hired, active, and terminated employees.
- Track hires and terminations over the years.
- Breakdown of employees by department and job titles.
- HQ vs Branches comparison (New York as HQ).
- Distribution of employees by city and state.
- Gender ratio visualization.
- Distribution across age groups and education levels.
- Total count of employees per age group and education level.
- Correlation between educational background and performance rating.
- Salary comparisons across education levels and gender.
- Salary vs Age trends per department.
- Identify discrepancies and salary patterns.
- Comprehensive table of employee details: Name, Department, Position, Gender, Age, Education, Salary.
- Full interactivity with filters on all columns for customized queries.
- Search and filter options to support operational HR needs.
- Tableau Desktop β For building interactive dashboards and visualizations.
- Excel / CSV β For data storage and preparation.
- Data Cleaning β Performed in Excel and Tableau Prep (if applicable).
- GitHub β For version control and documentation.
- Provide HR teams with real-time, interactive insights into workforce composition and trends.
- Support data-driven decisions for recruitment, retention, and salary adjustments.
- Enable quick comparisons between departments, genders, education levels, and locations.
- Deliver an easy-to-use employee record system with robust filtering.
This dashboard helps answer key questions:
- What are the hiring and termination trends over the years?
- Which departments have the highest employee count and turnover?
- What is the gender and education distribution of the workforce?
- How do salaries differ by education level and gender?
- Is there a correlation between employee performance and educational background?
- Which locations have the largest workforce?
