xfce Home Assistant panel plugin

Installation

Simply download the code and run the install file with bash

Config

Access the config my right clicking on the plugin once added to your panel and click properties. The config requires;

  • IP Address and port: the IP address and port number of your home assistant instance
  • Token: your Long Lived Access Token from Home Assistant see here
  • Entity ID: the ID of the entity from Home Assistant to target (go to Home Assistant settings -> Devices and Services -> Entities tab -> select the entry -> click the settings cog -> click the copy button next to the entity ID)
  • Suffix: an optional suffix to place after the state output
  • Font: it's the font. what else do you want me to say?
  • Interval: set interval time in seconds between calls to Home Assistant API. default = 60 seconds

Tested on

This has been tested only on Arch Linux

Note

This plugin will currently only display the state of an entity in Home Assistant

This plugin is not affilaited with Home Assistant or the Open Home Foundation and is entirely third party
